Attached are copies of a few personal reflections which assisted me in molding my teaching practice. Teaching is a self-reflective practice, and as such I will continue to reflect on my teaching pedagogy, efifiacy and style to hone my skills through my career.

13 August 2012: Observing Miss Angela. I often observed other teachers in action to learn from their classroom management strategies and general style of teaching. I especially payed attention to how other students controlled discipline in the class as this was something that did not come naturally to me. Miss Angela was wonderful in setting up rules, providing consistency in behaviour management and eliminating distractions, I was very impressed and used a few of her strategies in my classroom the next day.

27 July 2012: Visual Arts Reflection. I really love teaching arts and integrating it into my program plan as much as possible. This lesson, although a great deal of fun: was almost a logistical disaster: mostly down to the location of the lesson. I learned to always consider the parameters of location when designing lessons, and always factor in a great deal of time for clean up of art lessons.
